Business/Corporate Transactional Attorney
You’re not happy with your present position. You’re not learning. You were promised things, but they’ve yet to materialize. You want to make a change and you’re savvy enough to know, it has to be the right move. You’re not interested in moving only to have this same situation reappear.
We understand.
That’s why we created North x Northwest Law Group. We are one of the top transactional business law firms in Tacoma, WA. We’re a small, boutique, thriving firm, with a lot of steady work and great clients. We’re in Tacoma. We think our city is a gem. Our work is intellectually challenging and complicated, and the ideal candidate will welcome that. Let us share the backstory on our firm.
When we started our firm we had an idea. A blueprint. We were going to build a small firm that defies the stereotypes of small firms. Our founder had the common, preconceived ideas about small firms when she was a new lawyer: that they are unstable, have low-quality work product, they dabble across legal areas, have poor firm infrastructure, low pay, etc.
Our firm is different. Let us share details on what makes our firm unique and how we’ve defeated those stereotypes.
Stability. Our founder and staff have supported our largest clients for years while growing our reputation as a transactional firm.
Quality work. High quality work is our standard, and our number one priority. We don’t let poor work go out the door.
Focus. We don’t dabble. We focus on three areas exclusively: business, nonprofits, and intellectual property. Clients come to us because they know we’re able to handle complex, tax-driven work. And, we’re exceptional at it. Our lawyers never go to court, and we’ll never ask an attorney to work outside of these three areas.
Firm Structure. We’ve intentionally designed the firm like a larger firm. From having consistent business hours to on-site IT support, we do things right. Our legal software is in place to support our work.
Good pay. We pay fairly and well. Small firms have lower overhead, and can put more cash into the business and salaries.
Responsibility. You won’t be alone. Every attorney gets mentorship time with our founder at least twice per week. We want to you work on your matters and build good client relationships.
You’ll quickly be working with our clients. Many of them have been with us for a long time. To ensure we’re only working with the right type of clients, we have guidelines and boundaries firmly established. Once you’re familiar with the clients’ needs and their situation, you’ll take over. You’ll build the relationship and continue to develop your skills. You won’t, however, be on your own. Nor will you have to worry about collecting bills or finding your own clients. When you face any challenges, we’ll work together to resolve them.
We don’t work with clients who have unrealistic expectations or are unappreciative. Or, off the charts demanding. If they’re rude or condescending, they’re not for us.
Now, we need more lawyers to support what we’ve built.
In addition to your legal skills, it’s important to us that you have excellent core values. Values like honesty and integrity. You’re genuine. You do the right thing when you know no one is watching. There’s more to the list, but that’s a start.
So…what, exactly, will you do? You’ll be focused on business work, and here’s a sampling of the projects you’ll be doing for our business clients:
